The sanctuary had much better living conditions, and it was instantly clear that Bill was much happier there. So happy, in fact, that the sanctuary staff, who was well-skilled, decided that the large hippo did not have to return to the city zoo. They even had a hippo colony themselves, and they accepted Bill quickly.
