He was handy, and anything he could provide an ear for me to rant towards. After he heard my story, he started out laughing. The old man called me a goofball and figured I probably locked the thing onto my wrist in a moment of drunken stupidity. “Maybe you’ve just forgotten,” he said, grinning.
