Maddy led the way as they scrambled through the cluttered hangar toward the tunnel entrance. Derek clutched the case tightly, his heart pounding. Behind them, they could hear the distant voices of Solace operatives and the sound of heavy boots echoing in the hangar. “Hurry!” Ellis shouted, slamming a metal door shut to block the path. As they disappeared into the tunnel, Derek’s thoughts raced. Would Ellis be able to buy them enough time?
