Barefoot
The person who threw the can was ready to step out of the darkness, but Carl was unsure if he was ready to face whatever showed itself. The footsteps grew louder as they edged closer, and the first thing that revealed itself was a hairy barefoot. Carl took a step backward when he saw it.
