A final jab
After dinner was over, Jonathan couldn’t wait to get out of there as fast as possible. He presented his parents with the wedding date and said they were welcome to come. But even though Jonathan and Angela remained friendly, Jonathan’s mother couldn’t help herself from making one final remark before they left.
