The guests on Jonathan’s side of the family started to whisper amongst themselves as they nervously anticipated his parents’ verdict. Jonathan looked at Angela, who remained calm despite the unfolding drama. Angela’s eyes met his, and she gave a small, reassuring smile, silently telling him that everything would be alright.
