Wendy stood in the doorway because this was the safest place during a quake. It wasn’t the largest tremor she had witnessed since the area often suffered from earthquakes, but it was enough for Wendy to fully wake up. So, with her clothes already on, Wendy decided to make herself useful. She grabbed a leash and chose to walk her dog, a decision with massive consequences.
