If there was a tunnel door, Carl figured there had to be a tunnel. He pointed, and the others followed his gaze. A round opening became visible inside the hole. “It’s a tunnel! But where does it go?” someone asked. Nervous excitement buzzed through the group. The opening was real—but none of them were ready for what lay ahead.
