A way out
That’s when the Navy crew offered the community a way off the island. Their ship had enough room to take them back to civilization, to a world that had greatly changed since their departure. The younger members of the island’s community, many of whom had never known anything but this life, were hesitant. They had built their entire lives here, and the thought of leaving was terrifying.
