There were more than enough entryways to choose from since the plane did not have any windows left. They chose the center one, as Rick offered his colleague a boost before he was hoisted inside himself. The inside of the plane was completely vacant of life, as expected, since it clearly resided underwater for quite some time. But they did, however, make another quick observation.
