According to the rest of the recording, the plane made the emergency landing perfectly, and everyone on board survived the trip to the water’s surface. But there was a problem. Given the plane’s state, it would inevitably sink to the bottom of the ocean. That’s why the airplane’s pilot ordered life rafts to be inflated so all the people on board might stand a chance.
