The crowd grew restless as minutes ticked by, and Anna’s father had already re-entered the building to look for his daughter. The old man returned, however, with a letter with the groom’s name written on it. Anna’s father walked up to the stage and handed the piece of paper over to his son-in-law. “Anna indeed left her room, and this was all I found,” he said.
