Jack wandered through the building, trying to keep his footsteps as quiet as possible. Turning a corner, he noticed a door with a sign that read “Maintenance.” Curiosity tugged at him, and he reached for the handle, only to find it locked. A faint, steady hum drifted out from behind the door, filling the silence. The sound was strange and unsettling, making his pulse quicken with anticipation.
