Jack hesitated, stepping back as he tried to figure out his next move. Should he attempt to kick in the door, or would it be wiser to call the police and let them handle the situation? He was still debating his options when, without warning, the door creaked open. Jack’s heart skipped a beat as a man unexpectedly stepped out, catching him off guard.
