A stumble
Her pace quickened, lowering the arc in her step. As she paced the floor, Suzan’s foot suddenly got caught on something sticking up from the wooden floor. The young woman lost her balance and stumbled over, falling on the creaking floor hard. “Aaauw, what the hell was that,” Suzan yelled out as she looked behind her. The floor was the same all over except for one spot.
