Loads of stuff
By the time we reached the back of the unit, the pile of furniture and boxes outside was impressive. An antique mirror with a gilded frame, a grandfather clock that had stopped ticking long ago, and a bookshelf filled with worn leather-bound books—all these things had value, both in their craftsmanship and in the memories they held. But they were all a warm-up of what was to come.
