Michael doesn’t get it
Michael shook his head, anger simmering in his eyes. “So, he had all of this? And he just… left it? We could have been rich,” he muttered, sounding pretty resentful. But I only felt a growing respect for my father’s decision. He’d known that this kind of life wasn’t worth pursuing, so instead, he chose a path that emphasized humility, something Michael couldn’t seem to grasp.
