Inside, animal patrol officers found over two dozen exotic animals—all small once this time. But if this team hadn’t stopped, there would probably have been countless more. Five individuals were eventually arrested that day and now serve long prison sentences. The animals who were saved from the illegal trafficking circuit have all found a new permanent home in the sanctuary.
