Crunching through the snow, John walked toward the moose, which was now pacing back and forth about 300 feet away from him. The animal continued to call out, its cries filled with distress. Then, John noticed they were not on a snowy field at all. His feet sunk deep within the white powder and suddenly slipped, making his confused father fall.
