When he and the calf were tightly secured, John ordered his daughter to pull in the chain. Hailey had helped around the lumber yard a few times and knew what buttons to push on John’s dashboard, so she gave a resounding “A-okey!” Within minutes, the calf was hoisted out of the crevice and safely on the ground with its mother. And both John and Hailey couldn’t be happier about it.
