She felt the words catch in her throat, but her boss cut her off with a wave of his hand. “That’s not the point,” he barked. “You made me and this restaurant look foolish.” Kate tried again, hoping he’d understand. “I didn’t mean to disrespect the restaurant. I just thought… everyone deserves a bit of dignity.” But her boss wasn’t listening.
