As the family settled into a table by the window, Kate noticed the discomfort in their faces. The father adjusted his son’s jacket, trying to neaten him up, as the mother glanced around nervously. Ignoring the stares, Kate approached with her usual smile, greeting them warmly. “What can I get for you today?” she asked. The family visibly relaxed, their faces lighting up at her kindness.
