“Let’s try moving it. It’s probably heavy, but I have an idea.” They unpacked some of their climbing gear, setting up rock hooks and fashioning a rudimentary lever system with climbing ropes. Recalling the knot techniques he’d learned years ago in Boy Scouts, Brody created a steady pully system. They hooked these ropes onto the giant boulder using drill bits, which were normally used to secure themselves to a steep cliffside.
