It was all overwhelming
Bob reluctantly accepted, unsure of how he would adapt to living under someone else’s roof. At first, Bob found everything about modern life overwhelming. The endless stream of cars on the road, the bright lights of convenience stores, and even the sound of a phone ringing startled him. “What’s that noise?” Bob would ask every time Brody’s phone buzzed with a notification. Brody patiently explained the purpose of smartphones, but Bob waved his hand dismissively.
