Before Jill could press him further, Kevin turned and bolted. “Wait!” she shouted, her voice echoing off the alley walls. But he was fast—faster than she would have thought possible. Within moments, he had disappeared around a corner, leaving Jill standing there, stunned and alone. Jill glanced down at the paper in her hand, her heart pounding.
