Brushing it away
“Maybe he just wasn’t a good fit,” Jonathan said firmly. “I think she deserves better.” Karen gave a reluctant smile. “If you’re sure, I’ll get the paperwork.” Jonathan nodded. “I’m sure.” This hastened decision made purely out of emotion was one Jonathan would soon regret, though, because there was a good reason why her former owner wanted her gone.
