Hanging up the phone
John insisted that he was not mocking his local police force. He really needed help, so he urged them to come over and help with the wild cat in his backyard. But the police operator then rudely told John to take his jokes somewhere else. “We have real police work to do, sir. Goodbye.” And then she hung up.
