She wanted to run but forced herself to stay calm, her legs striding purposefully toward the edge of the park where she would be safe—at least, that was what she thought. At the park’s exit, Jennifer finally stopped. People were walking around her now, so if the old man tried something fishy, others could step in and intervene.
