It was time to let go, time to move on. Besides, the house was far too big for her to maintain alone. The roof needed repairs, the heating system was temperamental, and the garden—well, it had taken on a life of its own. It was too much for her, both physically and emotionally. Still, the decision hadn’t come easily.
