Barging in
The doors swung open with a sharp creak, and three uniformed police officers stepped inside. Their presence was imposing, and nobody seemed to know why they were there. The officers scanned the room before their eyes settled on Julia. “Julia Harper?” one of them said, his voice firm but not unkind. Julia’s face went pale. She nodded, her bouquet slipping from her grasp. “You’re under arrest,” the police officer continued.
