Being pushed out
Reluctantly, Ethan stood and made his way to the door. As he stepped outside, his thoughts lingered on what the officer said. Why would he say that she was not yet my wife? That was a strange thing for an impartial police officer to say. But Ethan wasn’t allowed to ponder on this outside of the police station because that same policeman pushed him all the way to his car and even closed the door for him.
