They heard Jason’s voice again as he walked into the same room as Julia. He was talking to her. Ethan couldn’t make out the words, but the tone was enough to make his blood boil. He gripped the windowsill, ready to act, but Robert shook his head firmly. “We need backup,” Robert said. “If we go in now, we’ll only worsen things.” Reluctantly, Ethan agreed. They needed help to do this the right way.
