Long awaited embrace
Before Ethan could process Jason’s departure, the door opened once more. This time, Julia stepped out, flanked by two officers. Her wedding dress was crumpled, and her face was pale, but her eyes immediately searched the darkness. When she spotted Ethan, she broke free from the officers and ran toward him. Ethan didn’t hesitate. He bolted from the car and met her halfway, wrapping her in a tight embrace. Julia clung to him, sobbing into his chest.
