What happens now?

With the bear safely harnessed and secured, the officers loaded it into a large cage inside the Wildlife Rescue Unit’s van. John stepped out of his car, arms crossed, still stunned by what had happened. “What happens now?” he asked, eyes never leaving the animal. One officer offered a reassuring smile. “We’re taking it to a wildlife sanctuary. It’ll be fed, sheltered, and monitored all winter. It’s safe now—and so are you.”
