“Do you smell that?” one of the crew asked, his nose wrinkling in distaste as he inhaled the air. A thick, oily scent lingered around them, unnatural and suffocating. It clung to the air, making their stomachs churn with unease. Whatever it was, it didn’t belong here, and the further they traveled, the stronger it became.
