Another cave in
The sulfur smell kept getting stronger the deeper they walked. It stung their noses and made their eyes water. The tunnel took a soft turn, and up ahead, they saw a place where the ceiling had collapsed. It wasn’t a huge cave-in like the one above ground, but enough to notice. They looked up and saw those same strange red rings in the soil. It was another reminder that the earth here wasn’t stable anymore.
