Eddie stared. “What?” “If the seal is breaking, it needs someone to finish it,” she said. “Like he did.” Eddie grabbed her arm. “No. There has to be another way.” Carla shook her head. “This isn’t just stone. It’s a prison. And I opened the door.” She looked out the window, at the darkening sky. “Now I close it.”
