Liam stood there for what felt like forever, soaked and speechless. He should’ve been afraid. But he wasn’t. Not really. The creature hadn’t threatened him. If anything, it looked stuck. Trapped under all that mud. Slowly, he stepped forward again. He didn’t know what it was. But he knew one thing for sure — he couldn’t just leave it there.
