Liam crouched down once more and began to clear the mud faster. The eye had definitely blinked. He didn’t imagine it. The creature was alive — somehow — and buried under what must’ve been a ton of soaked earth. He moved carefully, not wanting to hurt it. The more he uncovered, the more bizarre it looked.
