The Flipper
As he peeled away a large clump near the side, something flopped out with a splash. A small fin or flipper, shaped like a paddle, folded against its side. Liam jumped back, heart hammering, but the creature didn’t react. The flipper just rested there, limp. Another clue. This wasn’t a fish. It wasn’t a seal. It was something entirely different.
