The back of the creature curved upward slightly, then dropped again near the base. Liam cleared the ridge, revealing a full arch — like a hump. Or a dorsal fin. The creature was large. Bigger than he’d first thought. It was coiled into itself like a sleeping cat, tail tucked under its belly. No wonder it looked like a blob from far away.
