He hesitated, pulling out his phone. Who could he even call? Wildlife rescue? The local ranger? The military? If he sent a photo, would anyone believe it wasn’t edited? Worse — what if they came and took the creature away? Studied it. Dissected it. He put the phone back in his pocket. No. Not yet.
