“What do you mean they’re not dogs?” Matthew asked, his voice trembling with both confusion and frustration. He stared at the vet, who hesitated before responding. “Their physiology… it’s all wrong,” the vet finally said, his words vague and unsettling. Matthew clenched his fists, his anxiety growing. The cryptic response was doing nothing to calm his nerves. He pressed the vet again, demanding clarity, but the answers remained frustratingly elusive.
