Inside, the warehouse was dimly lit and cluttered with towering crates. Derek moved cautiously, his footsteps echoing in the cavernous space. He checked the manifest pinned near the entrance, finding a reference to a shipment matching Wren’s description. “It should be in Section C-12,” Wren said. Derek made his way there, weaving through narrow aisles. The tension was suffocating as he finally spotted the crate. His breath caught. The markings on it matched the packages from his truck.
