There were at least 20 men and women in one of the pictures. Were they also trapped in here due to this mysterious natural event? If Carl had to believe the vague scribblings by the ship’s captain, then that would be the case. If the crew had gotten trapped inside this ship, they could never have survived for that long. That would mean that Carl was walking through a metal tomb. This realization alone gave the poor man shivers.
