The handle moved under Carl’s weight, creaking loudly as it shifted backward. To his surprise, the motion triggered a mechanism, causing a hidden door to slide open. Beyond it lay another room, darker and more mysterious than the one he was in. Carl stared in awe, whispering, “It’s like a giant puzzle.” But as he stepped through, he was completely unprepared for what lay ahead, and his heart raced with anticipation.
