Climbing closer
The lion slowly climbed some stairs, moving up to the couple calmly. But with each step she took, Lucas’s hands trembled more. He dropped the bat to the ground, bouncing it on the floor beneath him. The baseball bat’s noise also caused the lion to roar once more, sending a bone-chilling sound throughout the hallway. And still, Lucas remained glued to the floor.
