Lights dancing
After exactly 30 minutes, a faint flicker of red and blue lights danced across their windows. The authorities were here. The couple heard the outside door open, followed by the shot of sedation riffle and a roar from the lioness. “Is it over? Is it done?” Maria asked her husband, who wondered the same thing. The couple waited another 15 minutes while hearing human footsteps moving around their house.
