Ben, even though the two friends walked as fast as they could, they still couldn’t keep up with the light in the distance. The lantern was gone from sight, and so was the man carrying it. They had no choice but to use their flashlights again, hoping that a form of life would reappear soon—hopefully, the elderly man with the lantern. Brody was still confident they would find something, but would he be happy when he did?
