“What the hell is that?” Brody said to himself in a soft whispering voice. Narrowing his eyes, he leaned closer, squinting at what appeared to be straight lines carved in the otherwise jagged cliffside. The lines were too straight to be formed by anything in nature. “Hey, Mike! Check this out!” he called, motioning for his friend to come over. Mike, who was still focused on their route upward, glanced over, a bit impatient.
